Auditors are checking up on VCA diplomas
VCA check: here you can check whether a certificate is valid
Check whether your employees have a valid VCA diploma with a VCA check
SSVV Netherlands, CSM Belgium and VAZ Germany are calling on VCA certificate holders: do a VCA check to validate whether your employees have a valid VCA diploma.
Keep in mind that a training ID is not a valid VCA document
Employees are still regularly trying to pass off their ID cards for training as proof of certification. An ID card does not prove someone is qualified. It only shows that someone has attended the training course.
Sites where you can do a VCA check
- In the Netherlands you can check this via the Central Diploma Register (CDR), visit the website: cdr.ssvv.nl/en-US/ .
- In Belgium you can visit the Central Certificate Register via www.csm-examen.be/cdr .
- In Germany you should contact VAZ (Verband Akkreditierter Zertifizierungsgesellschaften e.V.) . Only by making this check can you be sure that someone has obtained their BVCA or VOL-VCA diploma.
Expect regular VCA checks
Increasingly, our auditors are asking for proof of a VCA diploma from the CDR. This can happen during a work visit to the project location. On such visits we ask the operational member of staff to produce their VCA diploma. We also carry out random checks for VCA diplomas in the office. It is important that valid documents can be shown during VCA audits. Our tip to employees is for them to make a screenshot of their VCA diploma from the relevant page in the CDR.
