If you test the cybersecurity of other organizations, you will want your clients to know that you are a professional organization. The CCV pentesting quality mark shows the expertise and security your organization has to offer. DEKRA audits organizations according to the certification scheme of the Centre for Crime Prevention and Safety (Centrum voor Criminaliteitspreventie en Veiligheid (CCV)). It enables us to decide whether or not you are eligible for the CCV pentesting quality mark.
What is a pentest?
Pentesting (otherwise known as ‘penetration testing’) exposes the weaknesses in digital systems. Organizations can have pentesting done to test their digital systems and put measures in place to protect themselves against cyber crime. Fortunately, most companies check the reliability of their IT specialists before allowing them to try to legally hack their digital systems. The pentesting
quality mark
enables you to demonstrate the reliability of your organization.
What is the CCV pentesting quality mark?
The CCV pentesting quality mark is a certification that demonstrates that an organization meets strict requirements in the area of pentesting, or testing digital systems for vulnerabilities. The mark was developed by the Center for Crime Prevention and Safety (CCV) to give clients the assurance that they are working with a reliable and knowledgeable cybersecurity partner. With this quality mark, organizations can show that their pentests are performed professionally, securely and according to applicable standards.
On April 1, 2024, the new version of the CCV pentesting quality mark will be effective. This new version introduces some updates and refinements to the certification requirements, aimed at even better ensuring the quality and reliability of pentesting.
What does the new version mean for you?
From January 1, 2024, all audits will take place according to the new scheme of the CCV pentesting quality mark (version 2.0). The differences with version 1.0 are limited, but if you are currently taking action to comply with the CCV pentesting quality mark, it is important to take careful note of the new version.
Organizations that are currently certified or in the process of certification should take into account the changes in the new scheme in order to meet the updated requirements and successfully pass audits.
