The IEC 61010 standard applies to all electrical equipment which is used in laboratories, testing environments, industry and other similar such settings. The NEN-EN-IEC 61010 standard

The IEC 61010 has been drawn up by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). This is an international agency responsible for the standardisation of electrical products. The standard sets out general safety requirements for electrical testing and measuring devices, industrial machinery and laboratory equipment. In Europe there is no requirement to demonstrate your products have been tested by an independent organisation in line with the IEC 61010 standard. This is the case however, in other parts of the world where there is an obligation to provide a guarantee of both quality and electrical safety​.
