DEKRA hands over first SERMI certificate
DEKRA presents the very first SERMI certificate of the Netherlands
DEKRA presented the very first SERMI certificate in the whole of the Netherlands to Profile Tyre Center Nout Geldermalsen B.V. on Friday, February 23, 2024. A milestone for both organizations. SERMI (Security Related Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Information) replaces separate access to security software from all car brands.
Companies working on theft prevention for cars and campers, or requiring access to vehicle ECUs, will need a
SERMI certificate
from April 1, 2024. DEKRA facilitates the acquisition of this essential certificate. Over the past few months, DEKRA auditors assessed, among others, Profile Tyre Center Nout Geldermalsen B.V. for obtaining a SERMI certificate.
"It's good to see that the Profile organization quickly anticipates new regulations, which allowed us to present the very first official SERMI certificate at this time", explains Frank Salemink, Manager Sales & Business Development at DEKRA Audit.
"Proud to be the first to be certified"
Menno Kuipers, director of Profile Car, says: "As a universal garage, we serve both consumers and business clients, such as leasing companies. Our workshop sees a variety of cars from all brands and ages for repairs and maintenance. We find a comprehensive certificate like SERMI very important because we aim to continue all work on these cars."
Kuipers continues: "We are proud that Profile Tyre Center Nout Geldermalsen B.V. is the first universal garage to be SERMI certified."
