DEKRA awards SERMI certificate for the second time
DEKRA awards SERMI certificate to JAMES Autoservice
On Friday, February 23, 204, DEKRA presented one of the very first SERMI certificates to JAMES Autoservice Mijdrecht. SERMI (Security Related Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Information) replaces separate accesses to security software of all car brands. JAMES Autoservice Mijdrecht became the first within JAMES Autoservice to receive the SERMI certificate.
Companies working on theft prevention of cars and campers, or needing access to the ECU of vehicles, will require a
SERMI certificate
from April 1, 2024. DEKRA facilitates obtaining this essential certificate. Over the past few months, DEKRA auditors have assessed JAMES Autoservice, among others, for obtaining a SERMI certificate.
'DEKRA auditors prepare well and fully commit'
Last year, JAMES Autoservice contacted DEKRA. "We closely follow industry developments and contacted DEKRA Audit last year, asking how we could prepare and support our network in obtaining SERMI certifications," says Ronald Jochems, Operations Manager at JAMES Autoservice.
"The contact with DEKRA was always constructive, and we look back on it very positively. We were able to involve the Aftersales committee of JAMES in the process at an early stage, allowing us to assess the impact on the automotive company's side."
"We definitely recommend DEKRA for SERMI certification. We noticed that DEKRA was motivated from the beginning to steer the SERMI certification for JAMES in the right direction. DEKRA auditors prepare well and fully commit themselves, enabling our branches to certify successfully and on time."
