It is issued by DEKRA, a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) that has been recognised by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in America and also a certification body that has been accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). The cDEKRAus quality mark opens the doors to these important markets.
What is the cDEKRAus quality mark?
The cDEKRAus quality mark is a sign of compliance with the strict safety standards that apply in the United States and Canada. When a product has been awarded this quality mark, it means that it has been thoroughly tested and certified by DEKRA according to the requirements of both OSHA and SCC. This quality mark reassures consumers and business customers that a product is safe to use and meets the highest safety standards.

What are types of certifications?
There are two types of certification for electrical and electronic products in the North American market:
Type certification for North America
This involves the certification of a specific product type and the monitoring of ongoing production. So, factory inspections are made and samples are taken on a regular basis to check that the articles produced after the initial verification meet the requirements specified.
Two North American organisations have recognised us to certify products according to the North American certification scheme:
- OSHA, in the United States, which has recognised DEKRA as an NRTL.
- SCC, in Canada, has accredited DEKRA as a certification body for the Canadian market.
We work directly with US and Canadian regulators to support market access and the acceptance of our customers' products. We also offer you the possibility to apply for certification in both markets simultaneously.
