DEKRA employees raise 6,000 euro for the Dutch Food Bank
This December, DEKRA is donating 6,000 euro to Voedselbanken Nederland (Dutch Food Bank). 136 employees chose to give up their Christmas packages to support the food bank. The monetary value of these packages will be donated.
This year, DEKRA employees were given the option for the first time to either receive or donate their Christmas package. “Although the initiative was set up in a short amount of time, the results are immediately impressive,” says Paul Schenk, Country Manager of DEKRA Netherlands. “We are amazed by the number of generous colleagues who chose to donate their packages. Fantastic!”
Due to its success, the initiative will continue in the coming years. Schenk states, “From now on, we will annually give employees this choice; the desire to do something meaningful is strong. DEKRA is committed to a safe and sustainable world. That is our core business, and sustainable practices are embedded in our DNA. We believe that not only grand gestures but also small individual actions can make a difference. The success of this initiative clearly demonstrates that.”
